ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia scored 10 runs in a game for the second time in a week and knocked off the Asheville Tourists on Thursday night, 10-6. Fireflies hitters tallied 16 hits and the two teams totaled 30 combined. Columbia has now won six of its last eight games.

STARS ALIGN: Reliever Alex Palsha was added to the Southern Division's All-Star roster on Friday. He joins the three other Fireflies - P.J. Conlon, Vinny Siena and David Thompson - who will be on display at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 21. Palsha is a perfect 10-for-10 in save opportunities this season and has the fifth-best SO:9 IP ratio (12.4) in the South Atlantic League.
TAR HEEL CONNECTIONS: Fireflies reliever Craig Missigman grew up just a little over two hours away from Asheville in Charlotte, North Carolina. Missigman was a catcher at a young age and transitioned to the mound at age 13. He went to Olympic High School in Charlotte. .
HOT BATS: As a team Columbia is hitting .274 over its last 10 games. Luis Ortega (.314), Joe Tuschak (.300), and Kevin Kaczmarski (.333) are hitting above .300 over their last 10.
