
Suns Drive Playoff Forward with Double Header Sweep of Greenville

The Hagerstown Suns (42-25) defeated the Greenville Drive (35-31) 6-1 in the first game of their doubleheader on Friday at Municipal Stadium.
Max Schrock doubled in the first inning and scored from third on a wild pitch to put the Suns up 1-0.
Schrock doubled and scored again in the third inning on a single to centerfield by Grant DeBruin.
Hagerstown scored four more runs in the fifth inning. Edwin Lora led the bottom of the inning off with a double to centerfield and scored on a single by Schrock. DeBruin scored Telmito Agustin from third and Matthew Page drove in the final two runs of the inning on a double.
Greenville scored their only run in the fourth inning on a ground out by Luis Alexander Basabe.
DeBruin and Page each had two RBIs for Hagerstown.
Winning pitcher, Joan Baez (3-5), only allowed two hits and one earned run through five innings, striking out eight.
