
Two Castro Homeruns Not Enough, Rome Falls 4-2

Rome, GA - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Rome Braves Friday night 4-2 before a crowd of 2,068.
Rome jumped out to a1-0 lead in the third inning following a solo homerun by Carlos Castro (5). The Grasshoppers tied the game in the fifth thanks to an RBI single by Zach Sullivan. The Braves regained the lead in the bottom half of the frame on another solo homerun by Carlos Castro (6) making the score 2-1. Greensboro would take the lead in the seventh scoring two runs off of a Sullivan sacrifice fly and a wild pitch allowing another run to score making the score 3-2. The Grasshoppers added an insurance run in the eighth on another wild pitch to plate a run for the final score of 4-2.
Chuck Weaver (6-4) picks up his sixth win on the season while Rome's Oriel Caicedo (1-3) is charged with the loss. CJ Robinson picks up his eleventh save of the season. Rome starter Ricardo Sanchez went five and a third innings giving up just one run on three hits and striking out five.
