February 4, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons have promoted front office staffer Wade Leaphart to Director of Sales. The promotion took effect Jan. 1, 2005.
Formerly a senior account executive and director of group sales for the organization, Leaphart now oversees all aspects of the team's corporate advertising and sponsorship sales, which includes creating and managing corporate sponsorship inventory, developing and maintaining corporate partnerships and coordinating all team sales and marketing efforts.
Leaphart also retains his responsibility for the Falcons' group ticket sales efforts, working with area businesses, schools and other community organizations.
"Wade has certainly demonstrated he has the necessary skill set to take on this added responsibility," said Falcons Senior Vice President Greg Schuh. "His promotion, though, really signifies his desire and hard work to make the Falcons one of the top organizations throughout the entire ECHL."
Currently in his second season with the Falcons, Leaphart spent seven years in Salt Lake City, Utah, prior to moving to Fresno. In Salt Lake City he served five years as Sales Manager for Sprung Instant Structures, preceded by a few seasons as Ski School Supervisor at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina and Game Face Executive Academy, Leaphart is joined in Fresno by his wife, Tracie, and their son, Owen.
After playing the Victoria Salmon Kings both tonight and tomorrow in Victoria, British Columbia, the Falcons return home to Save Mart Center on Tuesday, Feb. 8, to battle the Bakersfield Condors at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are on sale now for as low as $8 per seat and may be purchased directly at the arena box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 485-TIXS (8497) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
