March 16, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release
Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the team, in conjunction with Carl's Jr., KMPH Fox 26, 93.7 KISS Country, and Mega 97.9, is raising money to help South Valley victims hit by the devastating freeze this past winter.
For each goal the Falcons score during March, Carl's Jr. will donate money to Cornerstone's Feeding Fresno to assist freeze victims. Fans can also join in the assistance by donating as little as fifty cents for each goal scored during the month. Pledge forms can be downloaded from the Falcons' website at www.fresnofalcons.com and returned to the Falcons office before the end of the month.
"Carl's Jr. is a proud partner of Fresno Falcons hockey, and like the Falcons a proud community partner as well," said Mark Perry, regional market manager for Carl Karcher Enterprises. "We encourage other businesses and fans to join Carl's Jr. as we help raise money for our community partners in the South Valley."
"The Fresno Falcons are proud to join forces with Cornerstone Church and Carl's Jr. to help out our neighbors in the South Valley who were hit hard by this past winter's devastating freeze," Falcons CEO John Tull said. "Falcons fans have been great throughout this season in helping to give back to our community, and the organization hopes that they will once again come through to assist us in helping out our neighbors."
The Falcons open a four-game home stand tonight, hosting the Alaska Aces at 7:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans in attendance receive a Cory Murphy player card courtesy of Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, ABC 30, and K-JEWEL Radio. Cory Murphy will be signing autographs following tonight's game.
Tickets for all Falcons home games can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office, by phone at (559) 485-8497, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any TicketMaster outlet. All Falcons' games air on 1550 and 96.1 Sporting News Radio starting with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to face off.
