Chiefs sign left wing Rob Lehtinen

Johnstown, PA (March 15, 2007) - The Johnstown Chiefs on Thursday announced the signing of rookie left wing Rob Lehtinen.

A native of Marquette, Michigan, Lehtinen recently finished his college career at Northern Michigan University, where the 5-11, 175-pounder appeared in 156 games, scoring 17 goals and 38 assists for 55 career points. Prior to attending Northern Michigan, Lehtinen appeared in 120 games over two seasons with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League, scoring 17 goals and 32 assists for 49 points.

The Chiefs return home on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. against the Trenton Titans. After the game, fans are invited to stick around for the Laurel Toyota Paper Airplane Toss, where all fans will have the chance to throw a paper airplane through the sunroof of a Toyota parked at center ice to win $1,000 cash or $2,000 towards the purchase of a new vehicle at Laurel Toyota!
