ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
The SeaWolves and Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) meet in the middle game of a three-game set at Jerry Uht Park tonight. The âWolves fell by a run in the series opener, snapping a three-game winning streak. The loss also snapped a four-game win streak against the Senators. The âWolves are 12-8 following the all-star break. The âWolves are currently in a string of 25-straight games without an off-day. Erie's next scheduled off day is August 11. Erie has lost just one series since the break going 3-1-1...The Senators are 5-5 in their last 10 games and they currently sit in third place in the Southern Division, 4.5 games behind first place Akron and two games behind second place Bowie. The Sens are 4-3 against the âWolves at Jerry Uht Park and they lead the season series against Erie by two games...Lefty Luke French takes the mound for the âWolves, making his 23rd appearance and 22nd start. French took a loss in his last outing at Akron on July 31 going seven innings, allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts. French has gone at least six innings in each of his last five starts including three starts going seven innings. He is making his fifth start against the Senators and is 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA which is his best ERA vs. an opponent. Both times this season when French has gone eight innings in a game has been against Harrisburg...Righty Bobby Brownlie takes the mound for the Senators making his 15th start and second against Erie. He has a pair of no-decisions and a 2.25 ERA against the âWolves. Brownlie has split time with Harrisburg and Triple-A Columbus. He took a loss in his last outing against Reading.
