Erie, PA - The Erie SeaWolves hit six home runs in an 11-2 victory over the Harrisburg Senators Tuesday night at Jerry Uht Park. Casper Wells drilled three homers for the SeaWolves and LHP Luke French fired seven innings of one-run ball.
In the bottom of the 2nd, Wells and Deik Scram slugged solo homers to put Erie up 2-0. James Skelton hit his first Double-A home run, a solo shot to make it 3-0.
In the 5th, Pedro Cotto slammed a two-run homer to extend it to 5-0.
In the top of the 6th, Seth Bynum hammered a solo homer to make it 5-1.
It didn't stay that way long as Wells ripped another solo bomb to give Erie a 6-1.
In the 7th, Wells cracked his third homer of the night to make it 11-1. Ofilio Castro smashed a solo homer in the top of the 9th to finish the scoring.
RHP Bobby Brownlie lost his second consecutive start to fall to 8-2. French picked up the win to improve to 6-11; three of his wins have come against Harrisburg.
The Senators fell to 64-52. Erie upped its record to 52-66.
The Senators and SeaWolves play the rubber match Wednesday at 12:05 PM. Harrisburg sends RHP Adrian Alaniz (0-3, 3.63 ERA) to the mound against SeaWolves RHP Luis Marte (1-2, 6.08 ERA).
