ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game slide as they take the field in the second game of a four-game series against the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) at Jerry Uht Park. The 'Wolves have dropped 10 of their last 12 games heading into tonight and the club is a season-worst 18-games under .500, in sixth place in the Southern Division, 21.5 games behind first place Akron. The SeaWolves have dropped three straight against the Curve, dating back to the last series the two clubs played at "The Uht" in late May. Overall, Altoona has taken six of the last eight against Erie. The 'Wolves need to win the final three games of this series to split the 18-game season series with the Curve...Newly named Eastern League All-Star, lefty Danny Christensen takes the mound tonight for the 'Wolves. Christensen has dropped his last two outings and three of his last four. He is making his third start against the Curve and has a pair of no-decision in his last two. In his last start against Bowie, Christensen went six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts in a losing effort...Altoona's scheduled starter, RHP Yoslan Herrera was called up to Pittsburgh and is replaced by RHP Luis Munoz. Munoz has split time between Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis this season. In his last start on July 5, Munoz went five shutout innings, allowing three hits with four walks and a strikeout against Harrisburg in a no-decision. He is making his fifth start for the Curve and his first against Erie.
