
Art Solomon Purchases Full Ownership of Fisher Cats

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- Art Solomon, the Majority Owner and Managing Partner of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, announced today that he has purchased the remaining interest of the franchise from Minority Owner Drew Weber. Solomon becomes the sole owner of the Fisher Cats, effective immediately.
"This move reflects our confidence in the franchise's success in Manchester and demonstrates our continued commitment to this organization and to baseball fans throughout New England," said Solomon. "Our fans have been extremely supportive, and we've created strong partnerships with the business community, city and state government officials, and non-profit organizations."
Weber, owner and CEO of the Lowell Spinners, Short Season-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, sold his share in the Fisher Cats in order to devote his full attention to the continued success of the Spinners, the team he's owned since 1997.
"We appreciate Drew's contributions to the Fisher Cats throughout the years and wish him great success in Lowell," said Solomon.
The 2008 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game takes place at Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Wednesday, July 16 at 7:05pm. Gates open at 3:00pm. Fans can enjoy the New Hampshire Union Leader Autograph Session and the Irving Oil Home Run Derby prior to the game. Following the game, there will be an Atlas Fireworks Show.
