Tonight, the SeaWolves play their last series before the All-Star break as they take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the opening game of a four-game series at Metro Bank Park. This is Erie's lone trip into Harrisburg this season. The Senators will make two appearances in Erie, both coming in August...The SeaWolves and Altoona Curve were rained out on Thursday afternoon. That game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 21 in Altoona beginning at 4:30 p.m... Lefty Josh Turley takes the mound for Erie making his 16th start and first against the Senators. Turley has won three straight and four of his last five. Turley earned his third straight win in his last start against Binghamton on July 3. In the game, he allowed two runs on eight hits with no walks and three strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie won the game 3-2 and Turley notched his team-leading eighth victory... RHP Nick Pivetta takes the mound for the Senators making his Double-A debut. Pivetta began the season in Class-A Potomac where he made 15 appearances, 14 starts, posting a 7-4 record and 2.29 ERA, He went 4-0 with a no-decision in his last five starts. Pivetta earned a win in his last start against Wilmington on July 5 allowing a run on two hits with no walks while striking out a season-high nine in seven innings.
