Segedin Serves up Seventh Walk-Off Win, 3-2

Trenton Thunder News Release
Despite an outstanding start from Eastern League All-Star Brady Lail, the Thunder needed an RBI double from Rob Segedin in the bottom of the tenth inning to finish off a 3-2 victory in front of 5,667 fans at ARM & HAMMER Park on Friday night.
Lail recorded the longest start of the season by a Thunder pitcher with 7.2 IP shutout innings, however, he did not figure into the decision when Ricky Oropesa hit a game-tying two-run home run in the top of the ninth. With Friday's effort, Lail's ERA stands at a sparkling 1.32 since May 6 (13 starts, 68.1 IP, 10 ER).
With the game tied at two in the tenth inning, Jake Cave worked a one-out walk off Jose Casilla (L, 2-5) and advanced to second on Gary Sanchez's groundout to the pitcher. Rob Segedin stepped to the plate and stroked an 0-1 offering into the left field corner to score Cave and record the seventh walk-off victory of the year for the Thunder.
New York Yankees rehabbing INF Brendan Ryan played the first eight innings of the game and went 2-for-4 at the plate. Francisco Arcia, Tony Renda and Danny Oh all recorded two-hit games for the Thunder.
The victory by the Thunder and a loss by the Reading Fightin' Phils leaves the Thunder two games up in the Eastern League's East Division, three and a half games up on New Hampshire for the wild card.
Your Thunder continue their four-game series with Richmond on Saturday night at 7:00pm. The first 1,000 fans age 18 and up will receive Thunder Cooler Bags and after the game there will be post-game fireworks set to 90's Summer Hits music. Tickets can be ordered online at Trentonthunder.com/tickets or by phone at 609-394-3300.
