Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the second game of a three-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the SeaWolves and Mets were postponsed for the second time this season due to rain. The two clubs will play a doubleheader on May 31 beginning at 5:35 when Erie returns to Binghamton. On Monday, the SeaWolves jumped ahead of the Mets 1-0, but were outscored 5-1 the remainder of the game as they dropped the series opener. Erie has now dropped five of its last six games and are a season-worst three-games under .500. The 'Wolves are in last place in the Western Division but are still only 2.5 games out of first place...The 'Wolves turn to righty Jacob Turner as they try to end their recent slump. Turner is making his fifth start of the season and his second against Binghamton. He took a no-decision in his first start against the Mets on April 12, allowing three runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Turner lost his last start against Reading, allowing four runs on nine hits in seven innings. Erie was shut out in the game 4-0. The Howlers are 3-1 in games started by Turner...Lefty Rober Carson takes the mound for the Mets, making his fifth start and first against the SeaWolves. Carson was roughed up in his last start at Portland allowing eight runs, five earned, on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Opponents are hitting .282 against Carson this season...Bryan Holaday has been the hottest SeaWolf at the plate of the last week. In his last six games played, the catcher is hitting .429 with a home run and six RBI...The SeaWolves pitching staff has allowed fewer than four runs once in the last six games.
