
Squirrels Postponed in New Britain on Wednesday

Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
NEW BRITAIN, CT - Due to persistent rains throughout the day on Wednesday, the Flying Squirrels scheduled game against the New Britain Rock Cats has been postponed. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, beginning at 10:35 AM. Both games of the doubleheader will be seven innings.
Both teams will back up their starting pitchers from Wednesday to pitch game one. LHP Clayton Tanner (0-2, 5.40) will make the start for Richmond against RHP Steve Hirschfeld (1-0, 2.05) for New Britain. The Squirrels will throw LHP Ryan Verdugo (1-0, 1.69) in the second game. New Britain has not yet named a starter for the second game.
