ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves begin their longest road trip since 2005 as they take the field in the first of a three-game series against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets). Erie's last 10-game road trip was June 17-26, 2005 when the team traveled to Portland, New Hampshire and Binghamton...The 'Wolves have won three straight series heading and two straight games as they head into tonight's game. Erie has won two straight and four of the last five games and the team is 6-4 in the last 10. The 'Wolves sit in fifth place in the Southern Division, 11.5 games behind first place Bowie...The B-Mets are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are in third place in the Northern Division, one game behind second place Portland and five games out of first...Lefty Luke French takes the mound for the 'Wolves, making his 14th appearance and 13th start of the

season. French picked up his fourth win in his last outing against Portland going six innings, allowing two runs on 12 hits with two walks and three strikeouts. French's only appearance against the B-Mets was in relief on April 11. He tossed four innings allowing 14 runs, 10 earned, on 15 hits...French will be opposed by Lefty Jonathon Niese. Niese is making his 15th start of the season and his first against the 'Wolves. In his last outing against Harrisburg, Niese took a no-decision going six innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits with two walks while tying a season-high with seven strikeouts...Erie LHP Danny Christensen has been named EL "Pitcher of the Week."
