Eric Fryer Named SAL Player of the Week

Charleston, WV (July 7, 2008) - West Virginia Power outfielder Eric Fryer was named the South Atlantic League Player of the Week for June 30 - July 6. During the past homestand Fryer's bat came alive as his batting average improved to an impressive .682. He was 15 for 22 during the week and 21 for 36 during the ten game homestand. He finished the homestand 5 for 5 leading the Power to a 16-1 victory over the Hagerstown Suns. Fryer and the Power now head south to Savannah, GA for an eight game roadstand before returning home on July 16 to take on the Columbus Catfish.
