
Walkoff HR Spoils Start To Intimidators Roadtrip 7-5 Against Catfish

Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators (11-7) tied the game at five in the eighth inning but fell on a walk-off home run from Columbus? Reid Fronk in a 7-5 loss to Columbus at Golden Park in the first-game of an eight-game roadtrip.
The Intimidators trailed 2-0 in the fourth inning when Mark Fleisher connected on his fifth home run of the season. Fleisher?s dinger was a two-run shot that scored Eduardo Escobar and tied the score at two.
The Intimidators tried to battle back again down 5-2 in the sixth inning. Fleisher had a sacrifice fly to score Escobar and Christian Marrero came through with a two-out RBI single to plate Jim Gallagher and cut the deficit to one.
In the eighth Kannapolis tied it up with a two-out infield single from Brent Morel to score Escobar from third base. But in the ninth inning, reliever Leroy Hunt took the loss (2-2) giving up a two-run walk-off home run to Reid Fronk.
The Intimidators meet up again with the Catfish tomorrow at 7:00pm. Coverage starts at intimidatorsbaseball.com at 6:45pm. The Intimidators are in the midst of an eight-game roadtrip with three more in Columbus before four in Rome.
