The series follows a unique format with the first game in Wheeling, the second in Elmira, and the finale in Wheeling. The Jackals enter play this week trailing the Nailers by one point in the Atlantic Division standings, but they also have one game in hand. Both teams are looking for traction when it comes to playing away from home. The Jackals are 2-4-0 away from First Arena and have given up 23 goals in those six games. Wheeling, meanwhile, has gone 1-3-1 on the road and has been limited to 11 goals. Elmira went 4-1-0 at home against the Nailers last year, but was 2-3-0 at WesBanco Arena.

Recapping Last Week:

11/6 at Florida: L 2-5

Elmira fell behind Florida 4-0 over the first two periods of last Wednesday's playoff rematch, but put up a valiant comeback effort in the third. Artem Demkov netted a shorthanded and power play goal in the third to pull the Jackals within two. Later on, Rob Bellamy was robbed on a sliding pad save by Florida's Jesse Deckert, and Matt Carter rang a shot off of the post on a 2-on-1 rush. Florida's Mike Merrifield salted away the win with an empty net goal with just over a minute to play.

11/7 at Orlando: L 1-4

Elmira's second ever visit to Orlando's Amway Center was eerily similar to their first visit last year. That trip saw Elmira lose a 2-0 third period lead thanks to five straight goals by the Solar Bears. This time around Orlando broke open a 1-1 game with three unanswered strikes in the third. Artem Demkov scored Elmira's lone goal of the game, while Maxime Clermont was a workhorse in goal with 41 saves.

11/8 at Florida: W 6-5

The Jackals used a six goal outburst from their offense to power past host Florida last Friday. Three defenders scored their first goal of the year, including Maxim Lamarche netting his first as a pro, and Artem Demkov continued his hot start with three points (1 goal, 2 assists). They were all outshined, though, by Danny Hobbs who led the way with two goals and two assists. Scott Greenham grabbed his team-leading third win of the season with a 36 save performance.

Quick Hits:

* Danny Hobbs tied a career high with four points (2 goals, 2 assists) on November 8 in Florida. Twice as a rookie with Greenville in 2012-13 Hobbs hit the four point mark with a goal and three assists. Prior to Friday, his most recent four point outing was February 2, 2013 at Germain Arena. Including last year, Hobbs has 10 points (3G, 7A) in his last five games at Germain Arena.

* Artem Demkov's six game goal streak (7 goals) is the longest current streak in the ECHL and tied for the longest streak in the league this season. Scott Campbell of South Carolina also had seven goals over six games for the Stingrays. Demkov has also set a personal best for a goal streak. His prior high-water mark was a five game streak (6 goals) from December 15 to December 22, 2012.

* This week's three-in-three against Wheeling continues Elmira's busiest month of the season (14 games in 30 days during November). The Jackals' November schedule also features a three-in-three next week against the Kalamazoo Wings, and then finished up with three games in four days during the final week. By contrast, the Jackals will play just 11 games over 31 days in December.

* Elmira's six goal outburst on Friday, November 8 at Florida was its best offensive output of the season and surpassed the combined goal total (5) from its last three games. Three times this week the Jackals face a Wheeling club that gives up an average of 2.89 goals per game which ranks 11th in the ECHL.
