CONDORSTOWN - The Bakersfield Condors got in the win column over the weekend, while the team battled through three consecutive 2-1 contests. The Condors record is 1-8-0-1 with three points in the standings. On the docket this week is three games in four days, starting with Thursday's game at 10:30 a.m.
Last Week: Three 2-1 contests
The Condors dropped a pair of 2-1 games on Friday in San Francisco, and Sunday at home against Stockton.
Saturday night Bakersfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind goals by C Joel Broda and RW Jordan Knackstedt, and G Andy Chiodo made it stand with a 20-save win in front of 5,953 fans.
NOTES: G Andy Chiodo (pictured) started all three games over the weekend, surrendering just five goals on 76 shots. His 1.69 goals against average ranks 9th in the ECHL and his .934 save pct ranks 7th. Chiodo joined the team last week and made his debut with the team on Friday in San Francisco. He was a nominee for ECHL Goaltender of the Week.$21,050 was raised for B.A.R.C. through Sunday's Gettysburg Address Jersey Off Our Backs auction. The top bid was $2,000 by award-winning ESPN show host Keith Olbermann, who featured the jerseys on his primetime show last week.C Joel Broda marked his return from the American Hockey League (with Oklahoma City) with a goal in each of his two games on the weekend. It was the first two games of the season with Bakersfield for Broda, who was named team captain in training camp.Rookie defensemen Joey Leach and Nick Pageau each recorded their first career points with assists over the weekend.D Kyle Haines returned to the lineup Friday after starting the season on injured reserve. He was a +2 on the weekend, which is tied for the team lead.The Condors have killed off 24 of their last 26 shorthanded situations (92.3%) over their last six games. They rank 12th overall in the ECHL at 85.4% on the season.Bakersfield ranks 9th in the ECHL with an average attendance of 5,185.

The Condors head to Stockton for a 4 p.m. matinee at Stockton Arena.This game is the Condors season ticket holder game.
