Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (3-5-1-0) head back on the road to take on their closest intrastate rivals, the Stockton Thunder (5-2-0-0), this evening at the Stockton Arena. These clubs will be seeing a lot of each other this season. Tonight marks the first of 15 times they will be facing off.

Four nights ago, the Bulls celebrated their home opener to the tune of a 2-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors. For the second season in a row, Dean Ouellet scored San Francisco's first goal on home ice, at 8:29 in the first period, giving them an early 1-0 lead. He received assists from Riley Brace, his first point with the Bulls, and Dylan King. Just over a minute into the second period, Kyle Bigos added to the lead with an unassisted tally. Late in the period the Condors scored, but that would be all they could muster against Tyler Beskorowany, who was fantastic. He finished with 34 saves.

Ouellet's goal on Friday night was his first of the season. For a San Francisco squad who has been struggling to score, they will be looking to Ouellet to help provide a spark. Last season he led the team's rookies in goals (24) and assists (28), and was their representative at the All Star game.

On the other end of the ice, Beskorowany's strong start continued. He has been in net for each of the Bulls three victories, and with his efforts Friday, recaptured the league lead in saves, and is fourth in minutes played.

The Thunder have been playing well, and have one of the stingiest defenses in the league. Netminder Brian Foster has won each of his four starts, and sports a minuscule 1.72 goals-against average.

San Francisco is in sixth place in the Western Conference with seven points, two behind the Idaho Steelheads in fifth. Stockton is in fourth place in the Western Conference with nine points, three back of the Colorado Eagles.
