Portland, Maine- Fan voting for the 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game will begin on Friday, June 5th. Fans will be able to select one position player and one pitcher from their hometown team to the Eastern League All-Star Game. The 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game will be played at Waterfront Park in Trenton, New Jersey, home of the Trenton Thunder, on Wednesday, July 15th.
To vote for your top Sea Dogs' players log onto to www.seadogs.com. Eastern League All-Star voting will run from June 5th through June 28th. The final Northern Division and Southern Division All-Star rosters will be announced in early July.
The Eastern League All-Star Game features the top players from the Northern Division facing the top players from the Southern Division. Each roster consists of 24 players. The results from the fan voting will be used to select one position player and one pitcher from each of the 12 Eastern League clubs to the All-Star roster of their respective division. The remainder of the 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game rosters will be determined through Eastern League field managers, media personnel, and league officials.
The Portland Sea Dogs begin a three game series with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) at Hadlock Field on Friday, June 5th at 7:00 PM. Tickets for most Sea Dogs' home games are available. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
