CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Chris Kunitz scored the lone goal and Ilya Bryzgalov turned away 19 shots to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 1-0 victory over the Cleveland Barons Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.

Kuntiz scored his team-leading 17th goal of the season with help from Tony Martensson and Juha Alen 2:17 into the opening period for Cincinnati, which snapped a two-game losing streak and evened the Labatt Blue Cup series between the teams at 2-2.

Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, stopped six shots in the first period, seven shots in the second period and six more in the third en route to his franchise-record fifth shutout of the season.

Bryzgalov, who won his first NHL game with 26 saves in Anaheim's 3-2 overtime win Tuesday at Phoenix, has been in net for 23 of Cincinnati's 25 wins this season.

Dimitri Patzold had 23 saves to suffer the loss for Cleveland, which fell to 1-5-1-2 in its last nine games.

The Ducks and Barons play again Saturday at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
