
Norfolk sign Jeff Miles to ATO

Virginia Beach, VA â The Norfolk Admirals announced today that the club has signed center Jeff Miles to an amateur tryout (ATO). Miles' signing comes at the conclusion of his season with the University of Vermont Catamounts (ECAC).
Originally selected by Chicago in the ninth round (268th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 6'00", 207 lbs. forward has played with the Catamounts for the past four years. In 132 collegiate career games, Miles netted 127 points (45 goals, 82 assists) and 94 PIM.
The Admirals host the Houston Aeros (Minnesota Wild) twice this weekend.
When the squads face off on Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m., it's Military Appreciation Night. Show a valid military ID at the Scope Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets to receive Blue or White level tickets for $5.00. The first 4,000 fans will also receive a 2003-04 Team Poster, courtesy of Coca-Cola.
On Sunday, March 21, when the puck drops at 4:00 p.m., it's Dog Day Afternoon. The Norfolk SPCA will be raffling and auctioning off a variety of prizes including gift certificates to local businesses and hockey paraphernalia. It's also a Family Fun Pack Day. Purchase a Blue level ticket, hot dog and soft drink for just $11 at the Scope Box Office or any TicketMaster outlet. (Must be purchased in advance. Not available the day of the game.) Following the match is a post-game skate with the Admirals. Fans may bring their own skates, or a limited number of rentals will be available at Scope.
Individual tickets for the seven games remaining on the Admirals' 2003-04 regular season home schedule are on sale now at the Scope Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 and online at www.ticketmaster.com. Group ticket reservations can be made by contacting the Admirals ticketing office during regular business hours.
