
Ducks and Aeros settle for tie

HOUSTON, TX -- Curtis Glencross scored a pair of power play goals to help the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks skate to a 3-3 tie with the Houston Aeros Friday at the Toyotal Center.
Glencross deflected a shot by Mike Mottau past Houston goalie Frederic Cassivi with 17 seconds remaining in the first period to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead and tied the score at 3-3 midway through the second period.
Casey Hankinson also scored and Chris Kunitz had two assists for the Ducks, who have earned points in seven of their last eight games (3-1-4-0).
Dan Cavanaugh had two goals and an assist for the Aeros, who remain three points ahead of Cincinnati for fourth place in the West Division. Billy Tibbetts earned an assist on all three Houston goals.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 32 shots for the Ducks, while Cloutier finished with 31 for the Aeros.
The Ducks face Milwaukee Saturday at 8:00 p.m. at the Bradley Center.
