Pirates Move Radio Broadcasts to WLOB

PORTLAND, ME – The Portland Pirates announced today that the final four games of the regular season will air in greater Portland on WLOB, 96.3 FM and 1310 AM. The change is being made to accommodate Boston Red Sox broadcasts on Pirates' Radio Network flagship station, WJAB.

The affected games will be Wednesday, April 7th at Providence, Friday, April 9th vs. Lowell, Saturday, April 10th at Lowell and Sunday, April 11th vs. Springfield. Any and all games that may result from the Pirates qualifying for the 2004 Calder Cup Playoffs will also air on WLOB.

Games will still be available on network affiliates WTME, 780 AM in Rumford, WKTQ 1450 AM in South Paris and 1220 AM, ESPN Radio in Sanford. They will also be available on-line at portlandpirates.com.

The Pirates return home after a five-game road trip to host the Worcester IceCats tonight at 7:05 p.m. On Saturday, they'll welcome the Providence Bruins for a 7:05 p.m. face-off. Fans are invited to come early for a pre-game Party on the Plaza on the Spring Street side of the Cumberland County Civic Center beginning at 4:30 p.m. There will be live music and a barbeque. If there is rain, the party will be held at The Stadium on Free Street across from the Civic Center.

The Pirates now offer a $6 ticket for all remaining home games. They are on sale at the Civic Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets may be ordered by phone at (207) 775-3458, (207) 775-3331 or on-line at Ticketmaster.com.
