Dayton, Ohio-Kevyn Feiner (FINE-er) lined a double to right-center field to drive in Anthony Gressick from first base to break a 3-3 tie with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Dayton Dragons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps 4-3 on Wednesday night. The win snapped the Dragons' six game losing streak and improved their record to 26-31 on the year. They are four games out of the wildcard slot in the Midwest League's Eastern Division playoff race with 11 games to play in the first half.

The Dragons' game-winning rally began when Gressick walked with two outs and the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth. Feiner, who had tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the seventh, lined the first pitch from Wilton Garcia into the gap in right-center field. Gressick raced around to score easily to end the game.

Feiner's heroics gave the Dragons their second "walk-off" win of the season. The first came on April 8th when Todd Frazier drilled a bottom of the ninth inning tie-breaking home run.

Dayton scored in the fifth to take a 1-0 lead. Devin Mesoraco doubled to deep center field, went to third base on Denis Phipps' fly out, and scored on a single by Jason Boar.

In the sixth, the Dragons scored again when Justin Reed was safe on a bunt single, went to second on Angel Cabrera's ground out, stole third, on scored on Zack Cozart's sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.

West Michigan took the lead in the top of the seventh on a three-run home run by Jordan Newton off Dragons' reliever Jeff Jeffords to make it 3-2.

The Dragons tied the game in the bottom of the seventh when Mesoraco singled, went to second on an error, advanced to third when Gressick walked to load the bases, and scored on Feiner's fly ball to left to even the score at 3-3.

Jeremy Horst pitched a scoreless top of the ninth for Dayton to earn the win and improve to 2-2. Dragons starting pitcher Matt Klinker tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits with three walks and four strikeouts, but was not involved in the decision.

The Dragons attendance total of 8,901 on Wednesday pushed them over the five million mark in the franchise's nine year history. The Dragons became the quickest Single-A club to reach five million in all-time attendance in minor league baseball history.

The Dragons open a new four game series against the South Bend Silver Hawks at Fifth Third Field on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (WING 1410 AM). All-Star right-hander Luis Montano (6-3, 4.45) will start for Dayton.
