Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Clinton Lumber Kings (affiliate of the Miami Marlins) in the first game of a three-game series. This is also the start of a six-game home stand for the Dragons.

Streaks: The Dragons have won two of their last three games after losing the previous six.
Last Game: Sunday: Cedar Rapids 4, Dayton 0. The Kernels avoided a sweep as they held the Dragons to just three hits and permitted only one Dayton runner to reach second base. Cedar Rapids built an early 3-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and one in the second. Dragons starting pitcher James Marinan went seven innings, becoming the first Dayton starter to go beyond the fifth. He threw just 68 pitches. Neither team drew a walk in the game while pitchers combined to record 15 strikeouts.
Team Notes
The Dragons won two-of-three at Cedar Rapids, earning their first road series victory since July 21-23, 2018 at Beloit when they won two-of-three.
The Dragons did not commit an error in the series at Cedar Rapids, their first errorless series since May 29-31, 2018 vs. West Michigan. They committed just one error on the six-game road trip, a throwing error by a pitcher on Wednesday in the second game of the trip.
The Dragons are 7-1 when holding the opponent to three runs or less.
Dragons pitchers have allowed four runs or less in four straight games for the first time in 2019 (they had previously not done it in three straight).
Individual Notes
Jay Schuyler over his last 11 games: 13 for 37 (.351) with eight runs batted in. He is batting a team-leading .312.
Miguel Hernandez led the team in hits and batting average on the road trip, going 6 for 21, .286.
