Dayton Dragons News Release

Dayton, Ohio-With four nine-inning games to play over the next three days, the Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Pitcher Josh Ravin (RAY-vin) has been assigned to Dayton from extended spring training.

Pitcher Luis Montano (mon-TAHN-yoe) has been sent from Dayton to extended spring training.

Ravin will start the first game of Saturday's day-night doubleheader at 12:00 noon. Montano, also a starting pitcher, worked last night's game in Lansing and his turn in the rotation does not come up again until Tuesday.

Ravin was the Cincinnati Reds fifth round draft choice in 2006 out of Chatsworth (Cal.) High School. Known as one of the hardest throwers in the Reds organization, he pitched at Billings last season and struggled with his control, going 1-5 with an 8.55 earned run average in 13 starts. He struck out 39 batters in 40 innings but walked 41.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

The Dragons host Great Lakes tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Fifth Third Field. The Dragons also host Great Lakes in a day-night doubleheader on Saturday with games at 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. Both games are nine inning games. Tickets for Sunday, May 11th's postponed game will be honored at the noon game tomorrow (Saturday). For more information, call (937) 228-2287.
