Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals (26-8-4-1) scored three unanswered goals to comeback for a 3-1 victory over the Lowell Devils (17-17-2-1) at the Scope on Saturday night.

Lowell jumped out to a quick lead, with Rod Pelley picking up his eighth of the season in the opening minute of play. The crowd got a rise a few minutes later when Devils RW Cam Janssen and 6'6" Admirals D David Koci dropped the gloves for a memorable tilt that lasted nearly 90 seconds. Janssen was playing in his first game with Lowell since Friday's assignment by New Jersey.

The Devils couldn't escape the second stanza with the lead. Troy Brouwer netted his 20th of the season at 14:49 by firing a wrister from the top of the circles past G Jordan Parise. The Devils nearly regained the lead moments later, but Stephen Gionta's bid rang off the post. Lowell led in shots, 21-16, through 40 minutes.

In the third period while on the power play, the Admirals took the lead. Brouwer slammed in a feed off the left post for his second of the night to make it 2-1. Norfolk struck again less than four minutes later, when Cam Barker snuck down the left side from the point and buried his fifth of the season. The Devils pulled Parise late, but G Corey Crawford made the lead stand for Norfolk. He finished the game with 32 saves and over 59 minutes of shutout play.

Earlier in the day, D Mark Fraser was recalled by the New Jersey Devils. He made his NHL debut in his hometown against the Ottawa Senators, a 3-2 win for the Devils. Fraser was one of only two players to appear in every Lowell game this season, prior to this road trip. In 35 games, the rookie blueliner had 1g-3a-4pts, and 'even' rating and 39 penalty minutes.

The Devils return to action at the Tsongas Arena on Friday, January 12th when they host the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. On Sunday, January 14th they host the Phantoms as well at 2:05 p.m. on Red Sox Day. Meet Wally the Green Monster and win Red Sox prizes throughout the day. On Monday, January 15th, the Worcester Sharks come to town for a 2:05 p.m. holiday matinee, and all tickets will be just $10, while there is a team autograph signing after the game.
