
Crunch Announce Details of Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the details of the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp that will be held on January 21 from 1-3:30 p.m.
Advance Auto Parts will be giving two (2) local hockey teams the opportunity to join their organization on January 21 from 1-3:30 p.m. for the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp with the Syracuse Crunch.
The camp will feature appearances by Syracuse Crunch players to coach the Advance Auto Parts players, in addition to participating in a hockey skills competition. The players will be on hand to participate in the different events and sign autographs from 1-3 p.m. Each participant in the camp receives a special practice jersey. Advance Auto Parts will hold a pizza party for all participants following the event from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Interested youth hockey teams can enter to win a chance to participate in the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp by submitting a 200 word essay on why their team should be selected to participate in the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp. Essays must include a contact name, address and phone number. Deadline to enter is January 17. Winners will be contacted via telephone or email. Essays can be entered through email at info@syracusecrunch.com or at the Crunch's office.
The following events will take place during the camp:
Fastest Shot - Each attending Crunch player will have his slap shot measured by radar, followed by any guest player who is interested in trying. The players will be given pointers during the guest portion of this event.
Puck Relay - The Crunch players will be split into teams and compete in a puck relay race. Following the players, teams of Advance Auto Parts guest players will compete.
Rapid Fire - Advance Auto Parts guests and Crunch players will be split into teams of two. Each team will have 30 seconds to fire ten pucks on a Crunch goaltender. The team to score the most goals wins.
Break-Away - The Crunch players and Advance Auto Parts guest players will compete in a single elimination, penalty shot event on the Crunch goaltender.
Syracuse returns to the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, January 13 to host the Rochester Americans. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
