Bulldogs recall Aubin from Cyclones

HAMILTON, ON (January 6th, 2007)...The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that centreman Mathieu Aubin has been recalled from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Aubin, 20, returns to Hamilton for the second time this season. In seven games with the Bulldogs during the months of October and November, the Sorel, Quebec native posted four points (two goals, two assists), with an even plus / minus rating and two penalty minutes. The 6'4", 204-pound right-handed rookie has also registered 14 points (four goals, 10 assists), a plus / minus rating of +6 and 16 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones this season.

Aubin is expected to arrive in Hamilton today, and be available to the Bulldogs for tonight's game against the Rochester Americans.

In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League is the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. Over 80 percent of NHL players are AHL graduates, and more than 350 AHL players were recalled to the NHL during the 2005-2006 season alone.

The Hamilton Bulldogs' next game is tonight, Saturday, January 6th at 7:00 p.m. versus the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum.
