
Denny assigned to Gwinnett from AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that Chad Denny has been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League by the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.
Selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round (49th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Denny collected 147 points on 47 goals and 100 assists in 215 career games for the Lewiston MAINEiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He finished 3rd in points for Lewiston with 65 (17g, 48a) last year while posting a combined +33.
Denny has not appeared in any games yet this season with the Chicago Wolves. He should be available for the Gladiators for tomorrow's 7:35 p.m. tilt against the Augusta Lynx at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that will have 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
