
Tomorrow Is Opening Night Versus Alaska

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder will host the Alaska Aces tomorrow night in the 2007-08 home opener at Stockton Arena, starting at 7:30 p.m. and part of the "Season Premiere," presented by Jackson Rancheria, Food-4-Less, Coors Light, KAT Country 103 and News10.
The game officially starts the 2007-08 home schedule, officially "Rated E For Excitement," headlined by a cinema theme to celebrate the game-night experience for fans of all ages as the centerpiece in game night promotions, special events, community activities, charitable efforts, publications and the Thunder's official website, www.stocktonthunder.com.
All fans at tomorrow's Stockton Arena "Season Premiere" will be treated to a red carpet-style entrance, complete with paparazzi, to adorn the arena's concourse.
All fans in attendance are encouraged to dress as their favorite famous movie character or in formal wear and will receive two free Thunder ticket vouchers when present in-costume, redeemable for select 2007-08 regular season games. A costume contest will be held during game on the Stockton Arena videoboard, with the winner receiving a special Thunder prize pack.
The Thunder has led the ECHL in attendance for two consecutive seasons, drew 244,085 fans (6,780 average) to Stockton Arena in 2006-07 and will host of the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and festivities on Jan. 22-23. The Thunder experienced a 6.5 percent increase in attendance last season and was the first team, other than the Florida EverBlades, to lead the ECHL in attendance for two years in a row since 1995-99 (Louisiana). The Thunder was awarded ECHL "Marketing Campaign of the Year" at June's league meetings in Las Vegas for its "FANtastic" campaign during the 2006-07 season.

The Thunder is the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
