PENSACOLA, FL - Mike Brodeur made 28 saves and rookies Mathieu Roy and JC Sawyer scored power play goals as the Ice Pilots (1-3-0) earned their first victory of the season, shutting out Reading 2-0 in front of a boisterous crowd at the Pensacola Civic Center.

The Ice Pilots got their first lead of the season when Mathieu Roy netted his third goal of the season with help from JC Sawyer and A.J. MacLean. It was a power play tally at 14:01 of the first period for a 1-0 Pensacola lead.
