Rudkowsky Loaned To AHL Grand Rapids

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, have announced that goaltender Cody Rudkowsky has been loaned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

Rudkowsky, 29, is 2-1-0 in three starts this season with a 2.67 goals against average and a .925% save percentage. The Willingdon, Alberta native and ninth-year professional finished runner-up to Las Vegas' John Curry for the first Rbk Hockey ECHL Goalie of the Week award handed out Tuesday. Rudkowsky went 2-0-0 last week with a 2.00 goals against average and a .938% save percentage after stopping 61 of 65 shots against the Utah Grizzlies.

Rudkowsky has logged 108 career games in the AHL with Worcester, Providence, and Bridgeport compiling a record of 38-39-17 with a 2.85 goals against average and a .906% save percentage. His last stint in the AHL came during the 2005-06 season when he made nine appearances for Bridgeport going 5-2-1.

The RoadRunners continue their season opening 12-game home-stand at 7:11 p.m. tonight as they welcome the Bakersfield Condors to US Airways Center.
