Defenseman Tarkir Returns From Springfield

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that defenseman Zach Tarkir has returned to the team from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.

Tarkir, 25, has four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 29 games with the Stingrays. The Fresno, CA native skated in seven games with the Falcons earning one assist and two penalty minutes. The 2010 ECHL All-Star competed in five games with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL earlier this season scoring no points and two penalty minutes.

The Stingrays complete their seven-game road trip Wednesday, February 10 against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena.
