
Everblades Split Two Games With Charlotte

The Florida Everblades split with the Charlotte Checkers in two games in Charlotte this week. The Everblades claimed a 4-3 shootout win on Thursday night in Time Warner Cable Arena. The Checkers edged the Everblades 3-2 the following night.
Tuesday begins a busy week for the Everblades...Florida hosts the Gwinnett Gladiators for two games on Tuesday and Wednesday night in Germain Arena. Thursday and Friday will pit the Everblades against the South Carolina Stingrays in North Charleston Coliseum. The Everblades finish the week on Sunday afternoon in The Arena at the Gwinnett Center against the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Thursday, February 4 @ Charlotte Time Warner Cable Arena 7:00PM
GAME NOTES: The Comeback Kids did it again overcoming a 2-0 deficit in the second period and ultimately prevailed 4-3 in a shootout. Goaltender Chris Beckford Tseu was the hero stopping 36 of 39 shots in regulation and overtime and seven of eight in the shootout. Captain Ross Carlson scored two goals including the game tying goal with just 1:30 left to play. The win improved the Everblades record to 3-0-1 in Time Warner Cable Arena this season and 4-3-1 overall.
Friday, February 5 @ Charlotte Time Warner Cable Arena 7:00PM
GAME NOTES: The second of back-to-back games in Charlotte featured the Checkers winning in regulation on a controversial goal scored by Mike Taylor. The Checkers third period tally was initially waved off by the referee and then overturned and ruled a goal after a conference with the linesmen and goal judge. Charlotte's 3-2 win dropped the 'Blades record to 4-4-1 against Charlotte this season.

Tuesday, February 9 vs Gwinnett Time Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: This is the first of three meetings against the Gladiators this week. After dropping the first two meetings in this series the Everblades have reeled off four straight wins over the Gladiators. The 'Blades have sported a 2-1-1 record in Gwinnett and a perfect 2-0-0 record at home. After the Gladiators and Everblades meet this week, there will be five more meetings remaining.
Wednesday, February 10 vs Gwinnett Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The second of two meetings between the two clubs in Germain Arena and fourth meeting in a row in this series at home for the 'Blades. Florida is slightly below their average on the power play in this series (5/34) and have not scored in two straight games on the extra man (0/10). Gwinnett (4/31) on the power play in the series and scored two of their four goals on the PP in the first outing (2/8 on 11/6/09).
Friday, February 12 @ South Carolina North Charleston Coliseum 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays meet for the fifth time of 13 scheduled meetings this season. The Everblades won the first meeting way back on October 28 in Germain Arena, 3-2. The Stingrays have rebounded to win the next three meetings including the last one in South Carolina on December 31, 4-1.
Saturday, February 13 @ South Carolina North Charleston Coliseum 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays meet for the second and final time this week in South Carolina. The two clubs will meet a total of six times in Charleston and seven times in Germain Arena in Florida. From March 12 through the 20th, Florida and South Carolina will meet five straight times and a total of seven times in three weeks.
Sunday, February 14 @ Gwinnett The Arena at Gwinnett Center 4:05PM
GAME NOTES: This game breaks a streak of four straight games in Germain Arena between the two clubs. This game marks the ninth meeting of 14 between the two clubs. The Everblades have won their last two meetings in the Arena at Gwinnett Center and are 2-1-1 overall this season.
