WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 13, 2015) - Monday's series finale between Winston-Salem and Potomac was suspended due to heavy rain in the middle of the third with the Dash leading 3-1 at BB&T Ballpark.

The date of the completion of the suspended game has yet to be announced. The clubs will not play again in Winston-Salem this season, but the Dash return to Potomac from August 11-13. Thus, this contest game will be finished at some point during that series.

Fans with tickets from Monday's game can exchange them for any remaining home game, except the final two All-You-Can-Eat-Nights (July 28 and August 18). For full details, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287.

Big league rehabber Nate Jones threw nine pitches, seven for strikes, in a scoreless first. After allowing an infield single with one out, Jones induced a 4-6-3 double play to end the frame.

In the bottom of the first, Jake Peter dribbled an infield single between the mound and the plate with one out. Keon Barnum then stepped to the plate and mashed a two-run home run to right-center off Potomac starter Matt Purke. Nick Basto reached on an infield single before Omar Narvaez walked. Jeremy Dowdy's single up the middle plate Basto to put Winston-Salem on top 3-0.

An RBI double in the top of the third by Narciso Mesa against Winston reliever Brian Clark put the Nationals on the board at 3-1 before the umpires called for the tarp due to lightning in the middle of the third.

After a scheduled off day Tuesday, the Dash begin a four-game series at Carolina with All-Star Matt Heidenreich (9-2, 2.62 ERA) on the mound. Pregame radio coverage is available at 6:45 p.m., with the first pitch at 7 p.m. on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn App.

The Dash return home Sunday for a de facto doubleheader against the Lynchburg Hillcats. Action will begin at 4:05 p.m., and Sunday kicks off a six-day homestand. For tickets, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
