Potomac Nationals News Release

The Potomac Nationals go for their fifth straight series win in their set finale with the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox) tonight at BB&T Ballpark.

Potomac has won 11 of their last 15 games and is currently in first place in the Carolina League's Northern Division.

The Nationals send LHP Matt Purke (0-0, 0.00) to the mound to make his 2015 Red, White, and Blue debut.

Purke helped guide the 2013 Potomac Nationals to the Mills Cup Championship Series.

Chicago White Sox MLB rehabilitation RHP Nate Jones (0-0, 0.00) will pitch the first inning this evening at "The Bank."

Piggybacking Jones will be Dash LHP Brian Clark (3-2, 2.53).

The originally scheduled Dash starter RHP Robinson Leyer (3-6, 4.30) was scratched from his appearance on the mound.

Torrential thunderstorms are headed towards the Tar Heel State but hopefully we will get this finale in tonight in its entirety.
