FRISCO, Texas (Monday, Oct. 20) - FC Dallas (16-11-6, 54 points) will return to training tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT on AdvoCare Field 1.
The team plays its final match of the regular season this Saturday, Oct. 25, against Portland at Toyota Stadium. The match, presented by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT. FC Dallas defeated the Colorado Rapids, 1-0, last weekend to move into third place in the Western Conference. Vying with Real Salt Lake (14-8-11, 53 points) for the third seed, FC Dallas can avoid a single-game knockout match with a victory on Saturday against Timbers FC (11-9-13, 46 points). Dallas could also lock up third spot if Real Salt Lake loses or draws against Chivas USA this Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The team that finishes fourth will host a midweek match against the No. 5 seed in the West with the winner advancing to face the No. 1 seed in the conference semifinals.
