Marcelo Sarvas Nominated for AT&T Goal of the Week
October 20, 2014 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
LA Galaxy News Release
LA Galaxy midfielder Marcelo Sarvas has been nominated for the AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 32 for his goal against Seattle Sounders FC.
Sarvas tallied in the 50th minute to give the Galaxy a 2-0 lead at StubHub Center. Following a Landon Donovan corner kick, a Seattle defender cleared the ball to the top of the 18, where Baggio Husidic collected it and laid a pass off to an oncoming Sarvas. From the edge of the area, the Brazilian midfielder launched a one-touch rocket that dipped over Stefan Frei and into the far side of the net.
Sarvas goes up against Warren Creavalle (TOR), Felipe (MTL), Lee Nguyen (NE) and Lloyd Sam (NY).
Cast your ballot for your favorite goal before voting ends! The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and will be announced on Friday.
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays.
