D.C. United Select Midfielder Sofiane Djeffal with 36th Pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft

Washington, DC - D.C. United have selected Oregon State University midfielder Sofiane Djeffal with the 36th overall pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. The Black-and-Red acquired the 36th pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft and $100,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM) from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for their 13th pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft.

Djeffal scored 18 goals and recorded 19 assists in 62 appearances (62 starts) for Oregon State University from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, Djeffal scored six goals and recorded six assists in 19 appearances on the way to being named the Pac-12 Player of the Year in addition to being a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
