MNUFC Signs New Contract for Defender Brent Kallman

January 11, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Minnesota United FC News Release

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today the club has signed a new two-year contract for defender Brent Kallman.

Woodbury native Kallman has spent his entire professional career with Minnesota since first joining the club in 2013. With his signing in January 2017, he became the first Minnesotan to join the Loons in MLS. He was a mainstay in Minnesota's defense in 2016 and 2017, using his speed and strength to take down attackers. His height is a huge asset on both ends of the pitch, helping him clear lofted balls out of the MNUFC penalty area and nod crosses into the opponent's net. Throughout six MLS seasons with MNUFC, Kallman has played 87 games, starting 75, with four goals and one assist.
