CINCINNATI, Ohio - Behind a 43-save shutout performance from Cyclones goaltender Marc Cheverie, the Cincinnati Cyclones (4-5-2-1) blanked the Toledo Walleye (3-5-1-1) by a 2-0 score in front of 6,013 at Huntington Center on Friday night.

For the fourth consecutive game, the Cyclones were able to tally first as Dylan Hunter chased down a loose puck in the neutral zone during a Walleye power play and managed to beat Toledo goalie Joe Palmer (L, 24 saves, 0-1-1) over the left pad for a 1-0 Cyclones lead. It was the first time this season that Cincinnati scored a shorthanded goal. It turned out to be the game-winner.

In the middle frame, the Cyclones capitalized on an odd-man rush when, at the 4:45 mark, Kevin Roeder pushed home a loose puck that was underneath Palmer's pad for his first goal of the season and a 2-0 Cyclones lead. Cincinnati Netminder Marc Cheverie (W, SO, 43 saves, 4-2-1-1) helped hold the lead in the second period, turning aside 12 Walleye offerings to keep his team on top by a pair of goals heading into the second intermission.

The Cheverie show continued in the third period, as he blocked 16 offerings in the final frame of regulation en route to a 43-save shutout - his second blanking in three games. His 43 stops were also second-most he's made in a single game this season (Last Friday, he made 44 saves in an OTL to Trenton).

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return home tomorrow night for "Throwback Night" against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:30pm.
