IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals try to earn their first win against South Carolina since Dec. 20, 2008 when they host the Stingrays at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena.
ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS
Tonight's game is just the seventh all-time between the Jackals and the Stingrays. Last season, South Carolina swept Elmira, taking down the Jackals in a shootout at First Arena on Nov. 10 and twice in regulation in North Charleston, S.C. on Dec. 5 and 6.
HOW SWEET IT IS
Andrew Sweetland scored in all five games last week after going scoreless in three games during the month of October. The Bonavista, Newfoundland native had four goals and two assists during that stretch. His five-game scoring streak is tied for the team lead with Oren Eizenman and Brock McBride, who is currently on loan to the AHL's Houston Aeros.
