
Cyclones Receive St. Denis, Lose Rank

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones have received defenseman Frederic St. Denis on loan from the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL). Cyclones Head Coach Chuck Weber also announced the club has had forward Kyle Rank recalled by the Portland Pirates (AHL). The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.
St. Denis, 22, has appeared in four games with Hamilton this season and collected an assist. The five-foot-ten, 190 pounder also has played in ten games with the Cyclones in 2008-09 and picked up six assists. The rookie spent the 2007-08 season at the University of Quebec-Trois Riveres, netting four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 28 games.
Rank, 25, is in his second season as a pro, having spent 2007-08 between Wheeling (ECHL) and Wilkes Barre (AHL). Kyle collected ten goals and 23 assists for 33 points in 34 games with Wheeling last year and has four goals and twelve assists for 16 points in 23 games with the Cyclones this season. He has already played three games with Portland this season.
Cincinnati (11-11-4) is fourth in the North Division of the American Conference. The Cyclones are at Dayton on Friday night (Dec. 19) for a 7:30pm tilt (carried on MAX-FM 97.7 and 99.5). Saturday (Dec. 20), the Bombers come to U.S. Bank Arena for a 7:30pm clash on 'Beat Dayton Night' with fans receiving a complimentary t-shirt from Fox Sports Ohio.
