Johnstown, Pa. - This past Monday, the Johnstown Chiefs helped "Cuddles for Kids" deliver stuffed animals to patients at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

"Cuddles for Kids" is a donation program that was started by Connor Hagins, a sixth grade student at Westmont Middle School, three years ago. The program collects new and gently used stuffed animals, along with children's books, to be donated to hospitals and other children's organizations during the holidays.

The Chiefs held a donation drive to benefit "Cuddles for Kids" at their most recent home game on Wednesday, December 10 against the Elmira Jackals. Thanks to the generosity of their fans, the Chiefs donated three large boxes filled to the brim with stuffed animals and books to Connor's program. Then on Monday Kris Mayotte, Ian Keserich, and Kyle Bushee (pictured below) along with Wes Clark and Petr Pohl helped Connor deliver hundreds of toys to, and visited with, patients at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

"We're all really glad we could help Connor out with this great cause, and that we could help brighten up the patients' holidays a bit too," said Mayotte.

"It's pretty inspiring to see all the work and dedication it takes to make this happen, especially when you think about how young Connor is," added Bushee.

The entire Johnstown Chiefs team and staff would like to congratulate Connor, and his family, on another successful year of "Cuddles for Kids", and also say thank you for having the team be a part of that success.
