Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced today that the ZOOperstars! will perform at this Friday night's game against the Ontario Reign at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will honor the Stick at its game against the Utah Grizzlies on Saturday, December 20th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The Zooperstars! are one of the most popular sports acts today. They are a sports entertainment show that performs at sports venues and special events around the world. Earlier this year, the ZOOperstars! zany crew was featured in the top 20 acts of "America's Got Talent."
Owned, operated and created by brothers Dominic and Brennan Latkovski, ZOOperstars! features inflatable animal characters based on the names of celebrities and sports figures. The characters make numerous appearances throughout the show and perform comedic skits, synchronized dance routines and hilarious antics amid the crowd. Overall, ZOOperstars! has 35 characters in its troupe. Six ZOOperstars! will be performing at Friday night's game at the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers will giveaway replica sticks to the first 1,000 fans on Saturday. The team said it would not give away hockey sticks as that might serve as a slight to all the sticks that paved the way for the modern sticks that are used as toys today.
In November, the Stick was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame®, alongside the Skateboard and the Baby Doll. The team announced the Stick has cancelled Saturday's appearance due to "events involving many of its family trees that seem to occur about this time each year," according a Stick spokesperson. The Cardboard Box, a previous inductee to the National Toy Hall of Fame, will be in attendance to accept recognition on behalf of the Stick, team officials said.
