
Zatkoff Recalled To Monarchs

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings and the AHL Manchester Monarchs announced today that the Manchester Monarchs have recalled goaltender Jeff Zatkoff.
Zatkoff, 21, heads to the Monarchs in his first professional career AHL appearance. While with the Reign, Zatkoff posted an 8-6-1 record, 2.31 goals-against average and .934 save-percentage in 16 games. On December 15, Zatkoff registered his first professional career shutout against the Las Vegas Wranglers in their annual midnight match-up at Orleans Arena.
The Detroit, Michigan, native was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (#74 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and recorded the Reign's first-ever club regular-season win in a, 2-1, defeat of the Bakersfield Condors on October 18. He was named the RBK Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for October 20-26, after going 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.50 and a save percentage of .954 against the defending National Conference champion Las Vegas Wranglers.
Zatkoff joins former Reign teammates Jon Rheault and Dusty Collins on the Monarchs roster, as Manchester prepares for their game this evening against the Manitoba Moose, and former Reign player Andrew Martens, at the MTS Centre in Manitoba.

The Reign take on the Las Vegas Wranglers again on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orleans Arena before heading home to Citizens Business Bank Arena to take on the Phoenix Roadrunners on December 20 at 7 p.m., and the Stockton Thunder on December 21 at 5 p.m.
