Dovgan and Lacroix Return to Rays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/General Manager Jared Bednar announced today that the Hershey Bears have sent defenseman Viktor Dovgan and forward Maxime Lacroix to South Carolina.

Dovgan, 20, was originally recalled to Bears on Dec. 8. The Moscow, Russia native played two games with Hershey posting two penalty minutes. With the Stingrays this season, the 6-foot-2, 202-pound blueliner has five points (1g, 4a) in 11 games.

Lacroix, 21, is currently in his rookie season after playing the last four years in the QMJHL. The 6-foot, 190-pound forward, originally recalled on Nov. 25, had one goal and seven penalty minutes in six games with the Bears.

The Rays will be back in action next Friday when they play host to Northern Division foes, the Elmira Jackals. Game time will be at 7:05 P.M. You can hear the game live on REAL 1340 starting with the Benitos pre-game show beginning at 6:50.
